Bikes & Velotaxi

To explore the city on your own, the bike is an ideal mean of transport. Bicycles can be rented in most bike shops in the city center. Practically is the offer "Call a Bike" by Deutsche Bahn. The striking metallic-coated DB-bikes are distributed throughout the city and waiting for tenants. It works like this: Simply choose a bike, then select (by cell) 070005225522 and enter the credit card number. Immediately after this, you can start (a radio code is releasing the bike). 5 Euro credit will be charged. The normal cycling with "Call a Bike" costs 8 cents per minute, maximum 15 Euro per day (24 hours). Calculated will be the period between lending and return call. We higly recommend to use a landline, calls with your cellphone, in matters of roaming costs are astronomically high. That way you would pay (give or take) 3 Euro a minute with a roamed cell, if you can even call those service numbers, that is.
He, who does not want to drive by himself, rents a Velotaxi. On four tracks, the rickshaws (April-October) are on the road: Kurfürstendamm, Tiergarten, Potsdamer Platz, Unter den Linden. A half-hour bike tour with individual route costs 15 Euro. Preorders at 0800/83568294 (Mon-Fri), or 44319428 (on weekends). Or simply stop a free rickshaw on the street and enter. The first kilometer costs 5 Euro, each additional 2 Euro.
