Do not be received by the name of this location. In summer, thousands of people are bustling in front of the little pavilion, which looks from a distance more like a kiosk with its chain of lights. In winter, maybe 30 people fit into the tiny restaurant with the troubled past: Before the war, it was an outhouse, then a bookstore and for 12 years, it is the Palace of the Republic, an institution in the nightlife of Stuttgart.

One shop, two names, two entrances. Sounds complicated, but good! Sunday through Thursday, the simple bar room is called "Bergamo" and offers not too loud bar-flair. It can be achieved only by the Töpferstraße.
At the weekend, it`s called "Transit" and is accessible only by the Geißstraße. It brings a bit of trash, lots of comfort and sometimes known DJs to the electrical panel.
